3dToledo was started after my brother and sister-in-law became frustrated with what some websites called a "Virtual Tour" while looking at homes to purchase in the Toledo/Detroit area. They searched over 500 homes online and would scoff anytime a listing toted itself to have a Virtual Tour. The tour would be nothing more than a slideshow set to music. They found this to be worse than a photo gallery of the space. When they would finally find a property they were interested and go to a showing or open house, they felt that many of the photos were misleading because of the wide angle lenses that were being used. Items towards the edge of a photo would indicate 6' wide doorways often times. Despite the great pictures and photoshop filters, they would show up at a property and quickly realize how cramped a space really was. In real estate, as with all things, they expected a home to be put in the best light. They started a similar company in Nashville and soon felt that a similar need was present in Northwest Ohio.
We feel there is a little fibbing going on in real estate marketing with some of the pictures. Sure, the images may look great, but photoshop filters don't exist in real life. With a 3d model we get serious. Brass tacks is our second language. A property can trully be represented accurately through a virtual tour. Let's get started today!
